Canon South Africa, a leading provider of inkjet and professional printers for business and home use, hosted a showroom open day on the 21st and 22nd of February 2024 at their Canon Showroom in Centurion.

The event attracted existing Canon partners and customers, as well as potential clients interested in the corporation’s latest product offerings. These included the ProPrint, Large and Wide Format models, as well as the highly sought-after imagePRESS V1350.

Speaking at the Canon showroom open day and guiding customers through each of the products were Canon Product Managers Gary Stockenstroom and Alex Ryan, as well as Canon’s B2B Head of Marketing, Tunca Rodoplu.

‘As a leader in the industry, we realise how important it is for our partners and customers to be well prepared to handle the demands of their respective industries. That’s why we’re taking the lead and are introducing our latest offerings now. This event presented the ideal opportunity for us to engage, educate and network with industry aficionados,’ Rodoplu commented.

‘Moreover, the open day gives our partners and customers the chance to gain valuable insights from Canon experts and discover innovative features that redefine technology. After all, seeing is believing,’ added Stockenstroom.

Spotlighting the imagePRESS V1350

When prompted about Canon’s hero product showcased at the event, Stockenstroom referred to the imagePRESS V1350 as a ‘printer that gives you the reliability and uptime you need, without the need for constant supervision from a skilled operator.’ He said, ‘It does all the hard work for you so you can focus your time elsewhere and show your customers other ways you can offer them value. Expect quality to be maintained from the first to the last sheet of every job.’

The imagePRESS V1350 has a maximum speed of 135 ppm and a monthly duty cycle of 2.4 million A4 pages to help operators take on more jobs. It offers one of the broadest media ranges and is engineered with sustainability in mind.

The internal imaging technologies are reinforced for increased stability to support long, continuous periods of printing at high speed, without paper jams or multi-feeds. Paired with the optional Sensing Unit, the printer can automatically detect prints that don’t match the registration and colour settings for the job, calibrate the settings before printing and maintain the settings throughout the print run, saving time, minimising waste and maintaining productivity.

Through transparent open day events like these, Canon continues to prove its dedication to advanced technology, helping leading companies overcome their printing challenges to grow their businesses.
